Dorset county NFU’s Tim Gelfs wil chair two panels sessions at this year’s Dorset Spring Show, at Birch Lane show ground, Puddletown, on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May. Both start at 2pm in the demonstration marquee.
On Saturday, Farming and Nature Growing Together will bring together local farmers, an ecologist and a representative from Dorset National Landscapes to explore how farming and nature recovery can work side by side for a more sustainable future.
On Sunday, the focus turns to Food Security and Food Resilience in Dorset. Tim will be joined by farmers supplying both local and national markets, alongside a nutritionist and a chef, to discuss where we are now and what needs to change to build a more resilient, locally-rooted food system. Both sessions offer a chance to ask questions, share views and be part of the conversation about the future of rural Dorset – supporting sustainable farming, a healthy natural environment and a well-fed local population.
