Support independent journalism in Dorset

Dorset Life is free to read, and always will be. If you value what we do, you can help us do more of it.

Every month, we investigate the decisions affecting Dorset’s communities, report on local politics, rural life and farming, celebrate the people and places that make our county extraordinary and tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.

We’re independently owned, written and published here in Dorset, with no national media group behind us. We believe good local journalism matters – and that everyone should be able to read it. Producing it takes time, skill and investment.

We’re also preserving the original Dorset Life digital archive, safeguarding decades of local journalism, photography and history for future generations.

Prefer to make a one-off contribution?

Choose an amount that suits you. Every contribution is appreciated.

There’s no paywall coming, and nobody needs to contribute to keep reading. Your support helps us keep asking questions, telling Dorset’s stories and making our journalism freely available to everyone.

Contributions are entirely voluntary and never buy editorial influence. Dorset Life remains free for everyone, whether or not they choose to support us.

Interested in making a larger contribution towards independent journalism in Dorset? We’d be happy to hear from you – get in touch with editor Laura on [email protected].

Contributions are voluntary payments to support the work of Dorset Life, published by Bluebean Publishing Ltd. Dorset Life is not a registered charity, so contributions are not eligible for Gift Aid.
