The annual Hatch House Open Garden has raised a record £36,778 for Salisbury Hospice Charity, taking the event’s total fundraising over the years beyond £250,000.

Hundreds of visitors attended the event on 30th August, hosted by Sir Henry and Lady Holly Rumbold with support from the Tisbury Fundraising Committee. The 17th-century Dutch walled garden provided the backdrop for stalls selling pre-loved clothes, books, bric-a-brac and fabrics, alongside homemade cakes, a barbecue, Pimm’s and a raffle. This year’s total is the highest raised in a single year since the event began. Some 85 volunteers helped with preparations and running the day. Funds will support Salisbury Hospice’s specialist palliative and end-of-life care for patients and families in the local community.
