A contemporary artist known for her richly layered resin works inspired by folklore and storytelling is set to make her first visit to Dorchester this June.

Kerry Darlington will appear at Halo Fine Art in Brewery Square on 13th June for her first solo exhibition at the gallery, giving visitors the chance to meet the artist and view a new collection of original works.
Darlington’s distinctive style combines hand-poured resin, metallic leaf and three-dimensional mixed-media elements, creating pieces with unusual depth and texture. Drawing inspiration from mythology, literature and imagined landscapes, her work has attracted a large following and collectors across the UK.
While her art is often encountered online or in print, the layered surfaces and intricate details are best appreciated in person, where the resin creates shifting effects of light and colour.
To mark her first appearance in the county, Darlington has also created a special Tess of the d’Urbervilles charm inspired by Thomas Hardy’s famous heroine, linking the exhibition to one of Dorset’s most enduring literary figures.
The event offers local art enthusiasts a rare opportunity to explore Darlington’s work and hear directly about the ideas and creative process behind it.
