The Nutcracker comes to Weymouth

Date:

It may still be November, but Christmas arrives early at Weymouth Pavilion when Imperial Classical Ballet brings The Nutcracker to Dorset as part of its autumn tour.

The production follows Clara from a family Christmas Eve celebration into a dream world of enchanted toys, snowflakes and the Kingdom of Sweets – accompanied by some of Tchaikovsky’s most familiar music, including the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Waltz of the Flowers. Importantly, this is not ballet performed to a recorded soundtrack. Imperial Classical Ballet will be accompanied by a live orchestra, bringing dancers and musicians together for Tchaikovsky’s score. The_Nutcracker_Press_Release
The Weymouth performance forms part of Amande Concerts’ 20th anniversary season. The company has been bringing classical productions to UK audiences for two decades, with its 2026 touring repertoire also including Swan Lake and Giselle. The_Nutcracker_Press_Release
The Nutcracker is at Weymouth Pavilion on Thursday 26th November at 7.30pm.
