A Poole company that has spent more than six decades helping British manufacturers export goods around the world has won a national award recognising its contribution to international trade.

John Pipe International received the Manufacturing – Trade Impact Award at the 2026 International Trade Awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade.
Founded in 1961, the company provides export packing, freight forwarding and logistics services from its Poole headquarters, supporting manufacturers shipping high-value and specialist equipment to customers worldwide. Its work includes handling machinery, dangerous goods and equipment for sectors including aerospace and defence.
Managing director Nathan Kennedy and business development manager Sarah Franklin collected the award at a ceremony at the House of Lords.
Nathan Kennedy described the recognition as “such a high accolade” and said it reflected the achievements of the whole team over many years.
The Manufacturing – Trade Impact Award recognises businesses that have demonstrated excellence in exporting and helping UK manufacturers reach international markets.
John Pipe International was selected by an independent panel drawn from across the UK’s trade sector. Marco Forgione, director general of the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, said international trade remained a driving force for economic growth despite recent economic and political uncertainty. The award highlights the role specialist businesses in Dorset play in supporting British exports: John Pipe International provide the expertise needed to move complex and high-value goods safely to markets around the world.
