Dorset illustrator Lucy Kendall has secured a free place at Spring Fair 2027 – she was selected as one of just 18 small businesses from across the UK to exhibit free of charge at Europe’s largest retail trade show.
Lucy’s business Share A Little Frankie transforms her hand-drawn wildlife and vintage vehicle illustrations into greetings cards and eco-friendly gifts. It was chosen through a national competition run with retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday initiative. The award allows her to present her work to thousands of retail buyers from independent shops, department stores and national chains when Spring Fair takes place at Birmingham’s NEC in February.
The #SBS Village, now in its eighth year, was created to help independent businesses connect with retailers and expand their wholesale opportunities.
More than 100 businesses have secured exhibition space through the scheme since it began.
Lucy says of the opportunity: ‘In the past year the business has grown and I’ve had some great opportunities, but this, for the start of next year, will be absolutely incredible. I’m so thrilled to have been picked!’
