Chesil Bank will celebrate the official opening of its refurbished recreation ground with a traditional Country Fayre on Sunday 16th August, from 12pm to 4pm. The event also marks the completion of a new permissive path linking Portesham to the recreation ground and promises an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment celebrating the parish’s rural heritage and community spirit.
Visitors can enjoy plenty of traditional fayre stalls, local food and drink, craft displays, children’s activities, races, a family dog show, a scarecrow competition and the Chesil Bank Bake Off. Community entertainment will take place throughout the afternoon.
Organisers hope the event will be an opportunity for neighbours to come together, for visitors to discover the area’s rural charm, and for everyone to enjoy the renewed Recreation Ground.
