Beautiful Blooms – Friday June 26th
An exploration of the floral form through observation and abstraction. Working with charcoal, ink, soft pastels, and fluid acrylic paint on paper, this session moves between close looking and expressive gesture. From quirky vessels, fresh garden blooms, and trailing foliage, participants will respond to line, tone, and colour—shifting between structure and spontaneity, capturing both the energy and fleeting nature of natural forms.

At Messums Studios, each month we are offering a quietly transformative evening – designed to spark curiosity, reconnect you with your creative instinct and support wellbeing through hands-on making. These one-off workshops invite you to step away from the everyday and into a space where making, looking and experimenting take centre stage.

This is not a conventional class, but a chance to be bold, brave and creative. Come alone and meet like-minded people, bring a friend, or give the experience as a thoughtful gift.

Each session is a standalone experience with a new theme, fresh artistic inspiration and a different creative challenge. Drop in when curiosity calls or follow the series and watch your confidence and instinct grow as you discover your inner artist.

No experience is needed – just an open mind and a willingness to explore. Open to all levels, these evenings are guided in a supportive, flexible way through prompts, techniques and encouragement from Drawing School tutor Emma J Findley.
