Age Concern North Dorset is looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join our small independent charity from September 2026, with the opportunity to work alongside the current Treasurer over the summer for a smooth handover.
This is a home-based voluntary role, requiring around 12 hours a month, plus attendance at occasional meetings.
We’re looking for someone organised, practical and community-minded, ideally with some financial or bookkeeping experience. Knowledge of payroll would also be helpful, as the charity has two part-time members of staff.
The role includes:
– overseeing day-to-day finances
– paying monthly expenses
– preparing financial reports for quarterly Executive Meetings
– producing annual accounts for audit and Charity Commission filing
Our accounts are currently managed using Excel spreadsheets.
This is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to support older people across North Dorset through a well-established local charity making a real difference in the community.
