LLTL celebrates Dorset producers at the Spring Show

Date:

The Love Local Trust Local team enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Dorset Spring Show last month, speaking with visitors about the importance of supporting local food producers and understanding where our food comes from. Across the two days, there was plenty of interest in Dorset’s farming and food sector, with many people keen to learn more about the businesses producing food on their doorstep.
As consumers become increasingly interested in quality, provenance and sustainability, local producers have an important role to play in connecting people with the food they buy.

Dorset is fortunate to be home to an exceptional range of food and drink producers. From arable farming, dairy, beef, sheep, pigs and egg production to the outstanding fish and seafood landed along the Jurassic Coast, the county produces some of the finest food in the country.
For visitors to Dorset, local food offers a genuine taste of the county and its landscape. For those who live here, supporting local producers helps sustain rural businesses, protects valuable skills and keeps more money within the local economy.
The team is encouraging residents and visitors alike to continue seeking out Dorset-produced food and drink, championing the hardworking businesses that help make the county’s food sector so distinctive.
Judging for the 2026 Love Local Trust Local Awards is now getting underway, and tickets are already on sale for the celebration evening on 24th September.
It is also not too late to become a sponsor and help support this wonderful event. The organisers are grateful to the businesses and organisations whose support helps make the awards possible. Lovelocaltrustlocal.co.uk
