Fox whispering! A trick I learned to attract the attention of young cubs is to whisper quietly when they first emerge into the light.

MANY years ago, I set out early one evening on a walk from Bradpole to Loders on the disused railway track, in the hope of taking my first wildlife photographs. Stopping near Loders, my attention was drawn to a pair of grey squirrels chasing each other around a tree trunk.
