OF ALL the river valleys that run down through Dorset to meet either the Stour or the Frome, the Tarrant Valley is perhaps the least well-known. Yet its landscape, surrounded by gently rolling downland, is quietly beautiful and the villages along its length of twelve miles or so are full of charm and interest.
