EIGHT times a year, there is the opportunity to explore an extraordinary piece of Dorset’s industrial history. Turn down a narrow drive just east of Sherborne on the Oborne road and at the bottom of the slope is the Castleton waterwheel. Forty years ago, the waterwheel was all there was to see, but the site has been developed by a team of enthusiasts and is now the Sherborne Steam and Waterwheel Centre.
