DAVID Attenborough once said, ‘Everyone likes birds. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as universal as a bird?’
I certainly share that philosophy. I have spent the time since I became a keen photographer getting to know the birds around my home patch of Southill, and the adjacent Radipole Lake RSPB reserve and Lodmoor.
