The walk takes you along the foot of a ridge in the Purbeck Hills to the east of Corfe Castle, then up, along and back again
THIS IS A there and back walk that takes in changing landscapes and stunning views. In February it can be a bit slippery, but when I walked it in July, it was rich with insect life and wildflowers, but also extremely popular with horseflies, so consider taking insect repellent.

Time: 3 hours
Total climb: 922 ft
Max height: 636 ft
Min height: 105 ft
Terrain: Track, path and field.
Exertion: Medium to hard. Pretty good underfoot.

How to get there: From Wareham take the A351 south and stay on it until you reach Sandy Lane (on the left halfway up the hill past the castle as you enter the village). Park in the Challow Walkers Car Park
Dogs: On leads where livestock is present and in accordance with any notices on the walk and The Countryside Code.
Refreshments: Lots in Corfe Castle itself;
